Trenton Splits Doubleheader With Portland

by @ 11:41 pm. Filed under Jeffrey Marquez, Juan Miranda, Reegie Corona, Jason Jones, Trenton Thunder - August 2007

Trenton and Portland played two and each team took a game.  Trenton won the first one 7-3 and Juan Miranda was one of the hitting stars.  He belted a homerun and he finished with four RBIs in the win.  Reegie Corona went two for four with two doubles, an RBI and two runs.  Jeffrey Marquez improved to 14-9.  He gave up three unearned runs on six hits and a walk with one strikeout.

Game two didn’t go nearly as well as Trenton lost it 9-0.  Jason Jones gave up five of those runs and he fell to 8-10.  In the meantime, the offense was held to just one single in a one hit shutout.
