Staten Island Edges Tri-City As Season Winds Down

by @ 11:09 pm. Filed under Jonathan Ortiz, Braedyn Pruitt, Taylor Holiday, Staten Island Yankees - September 2007

Staten Island’s season is winding down but they’re making the best of it with another win.  They edged Tri-City 4-3 behind the bat of Braedyn Pruitt, who homered and drove in three of the Yankees four runs.  Taylor Holiday also had a nice game and he went two for three with a walk and a run.

Jonathan Ortiz picked up the win and he improved to 5-0.  He gave up two walks with a strikeout in 1 1/3 innings of shutout relief.
