Solid Start By Ian Kennedy Wasted in Trenton Loss

by @ 11:54 pm. Filed under Ian Kennedy, Brett Gardner, Trenton Thunder - June 2007

Ian Kennedy fell to 3-1 on the season but it was because of a lack of run support and not the way he pitched.  He gave up one run on three hits and two walks with three strikeouts in five innings.

The offense picked up ten hits but they couldn’t push a single base runner over the plate.  Brett Gardner had a great day and he went four for five in the 2-0 loss.

It is a shame they could not support him with some runs because it was a solid pitching outing. His last game against Altoona, he left the game with with Trenton 2 - Altoona 1, but got a “no decision” when Altoona scored 2 after his departure.
