by @ 11:56 pm. Filed under Eric Hacker, Ivan Nova, Kevin Smith, Kyle Anson, Charleston RiverDogs - July 2007, Timothy O'Brien

The RiverDogs made up their rain out game from the night before and lost both ends of a doubleheader to Hickory.   The first game was a 5-2 loss and Ivan Nova took the loss with a rough start.  He gave up five runs on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts in four innings of work and the loss dropped him to 5-5 on the season.  Kevin Smith belted a solo homerun for half of the RiverDogs runs.

The second game was closer but it was still a loss.  Jonathan Hovis took the loss when he gave up a run in the eighth inning.  Eric Hacker gave up three runs in five innings in his start and Kyle Anson and Timothy O’Brien both hit solo shots in the 4-3 loss.
