by @ 11:35 pm. Filed under Kei Igawa, Andy Cannizaro, Erubiel Durazo, SWB Yankees - August 2007

Kei Igawa fell to 2-3 on the season after a rough start in the Yankees 5-1 loss to Ottawa.  He gave up three runs on nine hits and two walks with three strikeouts in five innings of work.

Erubiel Durazo belted a solo homer in the loss to give the Yankees their only run.  Andy Cannizaro had a nice game and he went three for four.

Hopefully, Igawa will be able to settle down next time. He’s probably under a lot of pressure, switching back and forth from New York. If he can get away from the spotlight for a little bit, maybe things can settle down and he can return to the form of a 20-game winner.
