RiverDogs Held to Four Hits In Loss to Sand Gnats

Charleston was doubled up by the Sand Gnats 6-3 and they managed their three runs on just four hits.  Austin Romine was the hitting star and he went two for four with a run and an RBI.

Zachary McAllister took the loss despite a decent start.  He gave up three runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk with five strikeouts in six innings.

Staten Island Blown Out In Final Game of Regular Season

Staten Island must have been looking forward at their playoff series with the Cyclones as they were blown out 11-2 in their regular season finale.  Zachary McAllister was blown out and he gave up six runs on four hits and three walks with two strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings.

Taylor Holiday and Justin Snyder both doubled and scored a run.  For Snyder, it capped off a solid season that saw him hit .335 with an OPS well above .900.

Staten Island Held to Four Hits In Shutout Loss

Staten Island finished had a tough time getting anything going at the plate in a 5-0 loss to Brooklyn.  Four different hitters picked up base hits with Austin Krum having the only extra base hit with a double.

Zachary McAlliser fell to 4-5 with the loss. He gave up four runs on eight hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.

Staten Island Runs Up the Score On Aberdeen

Staten Island put fourteen runs on the board in a 14-4 win over Aberdeen.  Christopher Raber led the way with four hits and six RBIs.

Zachary McAllister picked up the win and he improved to 4-4.  He gave up three runs on nine hits with five strikeouts in five innings.

Staten Island Blown Out By Vermont

Zachary McAllister fell to 3-4 on the season in a really rough start in Staten Island’s 10-0 loss to Vermont.  He gave up nine of the ten runs on seven hits and four walks with three strikeouts in just three innings.

Matt Morris was the only Staten Island hitter with two hits.  He went two for three in the game.

Zachary McAllister Loses Decent Start

Zachary McAllister fell to 3-3 on the season in a rough start in Staten Island’s 4-3 loss to Jamestown.  He gave up three runs on eight hits and one walk with five strikeouts in six innings of work.

Austin Krum was the hitting star in the loss.  He went two for four with a double and two RBIs.

Zachary McAllister Throws Five Shutout Innings in Staten Island Win

Zachary McAllister improved to 3-2 on the season with a nice start in Staten Island’s 2-0 rain shortened win over Tri-City.  He gave up just five hits and two walks and he struck out six in five shutout innings.

Taylor Holiday was a perfect two for two with a run. Justin Snyder went two for three with a double and a run.

Staten Island Held to Four Hits In Loss to State College

Staten Island had a tough time at the plate in their 7-1 loss to State College.  The team managed only four hits and Luis Nunez was the only Yankee hitter to reach base twice.  He went one for two with a walk and he scored the only run.

A decent start by Zachary McAllister went to waste.  He gave up two runs on four hits and two walks with five strikeouts in six innings and the loss dropped him to 2-2 on the season.

Staten Island Holds Off Auburn In 4-3 Win

Zachary McAllister threw six shutout innings and he picked up the win, but after he left the game, he almost saw the pen blow the game.  With a 4-0 lead going into the eighth, Auburn came back and scored two in the eighth and one in the ninth to make it a one run game.  Fortunately, that’s as close as they’d get.

Justin Snyder was the hitting star in the game.  He went two for three with a walk, a double, two RBIs and a run.

Staten Island Held to Six Hits In Loss to Brooklyn

Staten Island hitters had a tough time at the plate in their 6-1 loss to Brooklyn.  David Williams had three of those hits and he was a perfect three for three with a walk and he scored the only run for the Yankees.

Zachary McAllister took the loss with a rough start.  He gave up five runs (four earned) on six hits and three walks with three strikeouts.
