Alan Horne improved to 10-3 on the season with a nice start in the Thunder’s 9-1 win over Binghamton. He gave up just the lone run on seven hits and two walks with six strikeouts in six innings of work.
Four different Trenton hitters had at least three hits in the game. Noah Hall went four for five with two doubles and three RBIs while Colin Curtis went three for five with a walk, a double, a triple, four runs and an RBI.
Jason Jones fell to 8-6 on the season with a rough start in Trenton’s 6-2 loss to Reading. He gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits and a walk with three strikeouts in five innings of work.
Both Trenton runs came via solo shots. Dan Conway and Bronson Sardinha both hit one over the fence with nobody on base.
P.J. Pilittere and Gabriel Lopez both had big days at the plate in Trenton’s 9-3 win over Reading. Both had three hits and three RBIs while Bronson Sardinha went two for five with a walk and two runs. Cody Ehlers helped out with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs.
Jeffrey Marquez improved to 11-6 on the season with a nice start. He gave up three runs on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts in seven innings of work.
You have to feel for Chase Wright. He got off to that fantstic start for Trenton and it earned him a couple of starts for the big league club. Then he got sent down to Scranton where did he pretty well but found himself the odd man out when they wanted to test Ian Kennedy and Joba Chmaberlain at Triple A. So he ends up back at Trenton and in his first start there, he gets pummelled for ten runs in his first Double A loss of the season.
Matt Carson went two for four with a homerun and three RBIs. Juan Miranda singled, scored a run and drove in a run.
Trenton lost 11-7 and while Tyler Clippard didn’t have a fantastic start, it was the pen who lost this one. Justin Pope gave up four runs and he fell to 1-2 on the season. Tim Lavigne was also knocked up for four runs in the loss.
Noah Hall had a nice day at the plate in the loss. He went two for five with a double, a homerun three RBIs and a run.
The Thunder lost their third straight game in a ten inning 4-1 loss to Erie. Michael Gardner took the loss and he gave up three runs in the top of the tenth inning, although to his credit, only one of those runs was earned.
Juan Miranda singled and drove in the lone run for Trenton. P.J. Pilittere singled and scored a run.
Trenton played another tough one and both the pitching and hitting was poor in a 12-1 loss to Erie. Juan Miranda doubled and he drove in the only run of the game for the Thunder.
Kevin Whelan was hit hard as he got bumped back up to Double A. He gave up five runs on three hits and six walks with one strikeout in 2 1/3 innings.
Trenton lost to Erie 4-2 and it was Jason Jones who took the loss. He fell to 8-5 on the season and he gave up three runs (one earned) on three hits and a walk with five strikeouts in five innings of work.
Alberto Gonzalez was the hitting star in the loss. He went two for three with a double and he scored both Thunder runs.
The Thunder broke a 2-2 tie with a big five run ninth inning to take care of New Britain 7-2. Ian Kennedy didn’t get a decision but he had a nice start none the less. He gave up two runs on three hits and one walk with six strikeouts in five innings of work. Scott Patterson threw a shutout eighth inning and he picked up the win.

Cody Ehlers belted a two run homer in the win. Matt Carson went two for four with a run.
The Thunder took care of the Mets 5-1 in an eight inning rain shortened game. Philip Hughes gave up one run in four innings in another rehab start while Jason Jones threw four shutout innings to pick up his eighth win of the season.
Alberto Gonzalez went three for four with an RBI and a run. Matt Carson went two for three with a solo homerun.
Cody Ehlers led the way at the plate in the Thunder’s 6-3 win over Binghamton. He doubled three times, drove in three runs and scored once. Matt Carson walked, drove in a run and scored twice.
Jeff Karstens had another nice rehab start. He gave up one run on four hits and two walks with five strikeouts in five innings of work.
Trenton hitters had a tough time at the plate in their 3-1 loss to Binghamton and Alberto Gonzalez was the only hitter to reach base twice. He singled and walked and he drove in the only Thunder run of the game.

Justin Pope gave up two run in the top of the eleventh as the Thunder lost to the Fisher Cats 7-5. Pope dropped to 1-1 on the season and the eleventh inning was his third inning of work.
Alberto Gonzalez singled three times and drew a walk in the loss. Carlos Mendoza went two for five with a double and two RBIs.
Joba Chamberlain did it again as he pitched the Thunder to a 6-2 win over the Fisher Cats. He gave up just three hits and a walk with nine strikeouts in seven shutout innings.
All of the offense came on a pair of three run homers. Cody Ehlers and Bronson Sardinha both went yard with two men on base.
Philip Hughes got three innings of work in and he gave up just three hits with six strikeouts in an impressive performance. Jason Jones then threw five shutout innings and the Thunder took a 5-0 lead into the ninth when Tim Lavigne gave up five runs to put the Fisher Cats back into the game. Then in the tenth, Michael Gardner gave up the losing run in the 6-5 loss.

Ian Kennedy didn’t get the decision in the Thunder’s 6-4 win even though he threw a nice game. He gave up just two runs on three hits and two walks with eight strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings. Justin Pope threw two no-hit shutout innings and he picked up the win.
Bronson Sardinha pretty much put the team on his back as far as the hitters go in this one. He went three for three with a triple, a homerun, four RBIs and two runs.

Ian Kennedy continued his pheonomonal season with five more shutout innings in Trenton’s 9-1 win over Harrisburg. He didn’t give up a single hit and he walked three with nine strikeouts in those five innings and the win pushes his record to 4-1 on the season.
Matt Carson knocked in more then half of Trenton’s runs despite having just one hit. He hit a grand slam and he finished with five RBIs in the win.
