Four hits isn’t usually going to cut it and that’s all the RiverDogs got in their 5-2 loss to the Catfish. Jose Gil singled and he drove in both runs for the RiverDogs in the 5-2 loss.
Timothy Norton had a rough start and he took the loss. He gave up five runs (two earned) on nine hits and a walk with three strikeouts in five innings.
The RiverDogs took both game of their doubleheader against Kannapolis and in each of the games, the pitching gave up just one run. In the first game, Angel Reyes threw four shutout innings and struck out six in the start while Garrett Patterson picked up the win with three innings to close out the game. Donald Hollingsworth tripled, drove in two and scored one in the 3-1 win.
In the second game, Timothy Norton had a really nice start. He gave up just one run on five hits and he struck out ten in 6 1/3 innings. Mitchell Hillgoss was the hitting star. He went two for four with a double, two RBIs and a run.
The RiverDogs couldn’t get their bats going in a 4-0 loss to Augusta. Austin Jackson was the hitting star with two hits and he was the only RiverDog with an extra base hit (double).

The River Dogs managed just three hits in their 6-0 loss to Asheville. Two of those hits came off the bat of Mitchell Hillligoss.
