The Yankees couldn’t get much going at the plate in a 6-2 loss to the Rochester Red Wings. Austin Jackson belted a solo home run, drew a walk and scored twice while Juan Miranda singled, drew a walk and drove in one.
A solid start by Kei Igawa went to waste. He gave up two runs on six hits and two walks with three strikeouts in six innings and the loss dropped him to 6-3.
The SWB Yankees couldn’t muster at the plate as they were held to a single run on four hits. Colin Curtis went two for three with a double while Justin Leone doubled and he scored the lone Yankee run.
Kei Igawa took the loss and he fell to 6-2 on the season. He gave up four runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks with six strikeouts in six innings of work.
The Yankees impressive lead got a little bit smaller today as they dropped two games to Indianapolis. Game one was a 7-1 beatdown that saw three errors turn in four unearned runs. Casey Fossum took the loss and he fell to 3-3. He gave up six runs (just two earned) on seven hits with four strikeouts in five innings. The Yankees had just one run on three hits and Justin Leone drew a walk and scored a run.
in game two, it was Josh Towers who got roughed up in a 6-3 loss. He fell to 2-5 and he gave up four runs on six hits and one walk with two strikeouts in four innings. Shelley Duncan had the big hit with a three run blast, his 21st home run of the seaosn.
John Rodriguez had a big day at the plate as the SWB Yankees took care of the Toledo Mud Hens 7-3. He went two for four with a home run and four RBIs. Juan Miranda also had a nice day at the plate and he went three for four with two runs and two RBIs.
Kei Igawa improved to 6-1 on the season with a decent start. He gave up two runs on six hits and two walks with eight strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings.
Josh Towers improved to 2-4 on the season with a solid start in SWB’s 1-0 win over the Mud Hens. He gave up just two hits and three walks with five strikeouts in six shutout innings. Jonathan Albaladejo threw a shutout ninth and he picked up his first save of the season.
Austin Jackson went three for four with a double. Chris Stewart went two for three with a double and he drove in the lone run for either side.
Sergio Mitre improved to 1-o on the season with a really nice start in the Yankees 8-2 win over Gwinnett. He gave up two runs on seven hits with five strikeouts in seven innings.
Cody Ransom belted a three run blast. Kevin Russo went two for four with a walk and three runs.
The SWB Yankees lost to Charlotte 7-3 and it was Paul Bush who was knocked around in the loss. He fell to 0-2 and he gave up five runs on four hits and two walks with two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings.
Cody Ransom was the hitting star in the loss. He went three for three with two doubles and a run.
The SWB Yankees couldn’t heat up their bats and they were held to just six hits in a 3-2 loss to the Syracuse Chiefs. Justin Leone drove in both runs with a pair of sac. flies and then Juan Miranda went two for four with a triple and a run.

The SWB Yankees couldn’t get anything going at the plate and they lost to the Bats 3-0. Austin Jackson and Shelley Duncan both doubled while Eric Duncan singled. Unfortunately, that was it.
A pretty good start by George Kontos went to waste. He gave up three runs (one earned) on five hits and two walks with five strikeouts in seven innings of work.
