Kei Igawa fell to 2-3 on the season with a rough start in the Yankees 5-2 loss to Buffalo. He gave up four runs on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts in five innings.
Cody Ransom pretty much was the entire Yankees offense in this one. He drove in both runs with a two run shot in the eighth inning. Bernie Castro went three for five.
Jeffrey Marquez fell to 1-3 on the season despite a solid start in the Yankees 4-2 loss to Buffalo. He gave up two runs on four hits and a walk with three strikeouts in five innings.
Nick Green was the hitting star. He went two for four with a solo homerun. Eric Duncan went two for two with a pair of walks.
Jeffrey Marquez fell to 1-2 with a tough start as the Yankees lost to Charlotte 10-2. He gave up five runs on eight hits and two walks with six strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. Scott Strickland also had a tough time and he gave up five runs in 1 1/3 innings of relief.
Gregory Porter was the hitting star in the loss. He gave went three for four with a double and an RBI.
Darrell Rasner didn’t get the win but he threw well enough for the Yankees to walk away with a 4-2 win. He gave up just two runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks with six strikeouts.
Juan Miranda went two for four with a homerun and two RBIs. Brett Gardner scored twice without getting a hit.
SWB took care of the Durham Bulls 9-1 and Shelly Duncan led the way at the plate. He went three for four with a double, two RBIs and a run. Chris Stewart went two for three with a run and an RBI.
Scott Strickland picked up the win with a solid relief appearance. He gave up one hit and a walk with five strikeouts in 3 1/3 shutout innings.
SWB lost an ugly 2-0 game in which the hitters picked up just a pair of hits. Gregory Porter doubled and drew a walk while Chad Moeller singled and drew a walk.

SWB took it on the chin as they lost to the Bats 11-0. Steven White took the brunt of the damage and he gave up nine runs (six earned) on eleven hits and a walk with three strikeouts in four innings.
The five hits didn’t cut it either. Juan Miranda was the only Yankee with two hits in the contest for SWB.
The Bats hitters knocked around Yankees’ start Jeffrey Marquez and he lost his first decision of the season. He gave up eight runs on ten hits and two walks with strikeout in four innings.
SWB managed just three hits in the 9-2 loss. Jason Lane belted a solo homer while Chad Moeller doubled and scored a run.
SWB took care of Lehigh Valley 3-2 and it was Darrell Rasner who got it done on the mound. He gave up just three hits with five strikeouts in six shutout innings.
Jason Lane had a nice day at the plate. He went two for four with a homerun and two RBIs. Eric Duncan also got it done and he went two for three with a double, a walk and a run.
Cody Ransom was the hitting star in SWB’s 7-2 win over Lehigh Valley. He went two for four with a homerun and three RBIs. Brett Gardner went two for four with a homerun and two RBIs.
Alan Horne picked up the win. He gave up two runs on five hits and two walks with six strikeouts in six innings of work.
Steven White didn’t get the win in this one but he kept the Yankees in the game. He gave up one run on three hits and two walks with four strikeouts in six innings. Chris Britton threw 1 1/3 shutout innings and he picked up the win.
Jason Lane doubled, drew a walk and scored in the 2-1 win. Cody Ransom went two for two with a double.
Kei Igawa got it done on the mound today with six perfect innings. He struck out seven and the entire SWB pitching staff gave up just a single hit the entire game.
Eric Duncan went two for three with a triple, a run and an RBI. Jason Lane had only one hit, but it was a solo shot in the second inning.
