Staten Island took a 5-4 lead into the ninth inning but walked away with a 6-5 loss.  Ronny Marte gave up the two ninth inning runs and he fell to 2-1.  Francisco Rondon struck out eight in four innings in his start.

Neil Medchill went two for two with a home run, two RBIs and two runs.  Kyle Higashioka went two for four with a run.

Staten Island came back in a big way in this one.  down 7-1, the Yankees scored one in the seventh, five in the eighth and then Kyle Higashloka singled home Jimmy Paredes in the bottom of the ninth for the game winner.  Chad Gross went three for four with a triple and two RBIs while Higashloka finished the game with three RBIs.

Ronny Marte picked up the win although he was more in the right place at the right time. He improved to 2-0 after he pitched a shutout top half of the ninth.
