The Thunder doubled up Harrisburg 8-4 and it was Marcos Vechinonacci and Kevin Russo who got it done at the plate. Vechionacci went two for four with a double, three RBIs and two runs while Russo doubled and drove in three. P.J. Pilittere had a team high three hits and he scored twice.
Chase Wright improved to 2-1 with a nice start. He gave up one run on five hits and two walks with two strikeouts in six innings.
The Thunder eliminated Portland in their best of five series and it was Jeffrey Marquez who got it done on the mound in the 4-0 win. He gave up four hits and a walk with three strikeouts in seven shutout innings.
Matt Carson doubled, drew a walk, drove in two and scored a run in the win. P.J. Pilittere singled, doubled and he drove in the other runs for the Thunder. Their opponent in the championship series will be Akron, who took care of Erie tonight three games to one.
Jeffrey Marquez improved to 15-9 with a nice start as the Thunder took care of the Fisher Cats 5-4. He gave up three runs on four hits and a walk with nine strikeouts in six innings.
Jamal Strong went one for four with two runs. P.J. Pilittere doubled and drove in two runs.
Jeffrey Marquez fell to 11-8 on the season with a rough start in the Thunders’ 11-2 loss to the Mets. He gave up eight runs (five earned) on nine hits and a walk with four strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
Cody Ehlers went two for three with a run in the loss. P.J. Pilittere doubled and he drove in two runs.
P.J. Pilittere and Gabriel Lopez both had big days at the plate in Trenton’s 9-3 win over Reading. Both had three hits and three RBIs while Bronson Sardinha went two for five with a walk and two runs. Cody Ehlers helped out with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs.
Jeffrey Marquez improved to 11-6 on the season with a nice start. He gave up three runs on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts in seven innings of work.
The Thunder lost their third straight game in a ten inning 4-1 loss to Erie. Michael Gardner took the loss and he gave up three runs in the top of the tenth inning, although to his credit, only one of those runs was earned.
Juan Miranda singled and drove in the lone run for Trenton. P.J. Pilittere singled and scored a run.
Zachary Kroenke gave up a two run homer in the bottom of the eighth that turned the Thunder’s one run lead into a one run loss. On top of that, a nice start by Alan Horne went to waste. He gave up two runs (one earned) on four hits and one walk with six strikeouts in five innings.
P.J. Pilittere had the big hit of the game for the Thunder. He belted a two run homer in the seven inning.
Trenton blew out the Fisher Cats 11-3 and Noah Hall played a big part in the win. He went three for four with two doubles, three RBIs and a run. P.J. Pilittere went three for five with a double, a triple, an RBI and three runs while Gabe Lopez was a perfect four for four.
Jeffrey Marquez improved to 7-3 on the season with a nice start. He gave up three runs on five hits and three walks with one strikeout in six innings.
Alan Horne improved to 4-2 on the season with a nice start in the Thunder’s 3-1 win over Portland. He gave up just one run on five hits and one walk with seven strikouts in 6 1/3 innings.
Noah Hall was the hitting star. He went two for two with a doublle and two RBIs. P.J. Pilittere went one for four with two runs.
The Thunder lost their first game since opening day and ended an eight game winning streak in a 5-2 loss to Binghamton. It was their first game since last Saturday as all of the games in between were cancelled because of poor weather.
P.J. Pilittere provided most of the offense for the Thunder with two hits and two RBIs. Jeffrey Marquez took the loss and he gave up four unearned runs in five innings.
