Michael Dunn took the loss today as Tampa lost to Dunedin 8-4. He gave up three runs on six hits and three walks with six strikeouts in four innings. Grant Duff also had a tough time and he gave up four runs in 2 1/3 innings.
Damon Sublett doubled and drove in two runs in the loss. Edwar Gonzalez doubled twice, drove in a run and scored.
Mitch Hilligoss singled home Kevin Smith in the bottom of the ninth to win it for the Yankees in this one. It was his second RBI of the game in the 5-4 win. Eduardo Nunez went two for four with a double, a walk, a run and an RBI.
Michael Dunn had a mediocre start and he gave up four runs in 4 1/3 innings. Edgar Soto pitched a shutout ninth inning and he picked up the win.
Michael Dunn gave up seven runs in five innings as the RiverDogs fell to a seven run deficit. They then proceeded to pick away at the lead until they scored three in the ninth to tie the game and send it into extra frames. Then in the bottom of the eleventh, James Cooper doubled home Mitch Hilligoss to win it. Cooper finished the game four for six with a double, a homerun, two RBIs and two runs. Kevin Smith went three for four with a homerun, three RBIs and two runs.
Jonathan Hovis improved to 3-5 with two innings of shutout relief. He didn’t give up a single base runner and he struck out one batter.
Michael Dunn fell to 12-4 on the season in a rough start in the RiverDogs 5-4 loss to Lexington. He gave up five runs on eight hits and two walks with three strikeouts in four innings of work.
Mitchell Hilligoss went two for four with a double, a walk, a run and an RBI. Kevin Smith went two for four with a double, a walk and an RBI.
Michael Dunn didn’t have his best start of the season but it was good enough for his twelth win. He gave up four runs on five hits and three walks with five strikeouts in five innings of work.
Kyle Anson doubled, drove in two runs and scored a run. James Cooper doubled twice and scored a run.
The RiverDogs took care of the Sand Gnats in both of the games of their doubleheader. In the first game, Michael Dunn had a nice start and he improved to 11-3 on the season in the 2-1 win. He gave up one run on three hits and four walks with four strikeouts in six innings. Mitchell Hilligoss tripled and he scored one of the two runs.
In the second game, Luke Trubee improved to 3-0 on the season with a 1 2/3 innings of shutout relief. Chase Odenreider hit a solo homerun and he scored three runs in the 6-1 win.
Michael Dunn improved to 9-3 on the season with a great start in the RiverDogs 4-0 win over Rome. He gave up just one hit and two walks with eight strikeouts in seven shutout innings.
Josue Calzado went two for four with a double, two RBIs and a run. Christopher Kunda went two for three with a double and two RBIs.
The RiverDogs hitters didn’t show up as the team was shutout 6-0 by Augusta. Seth Fortenberry was the only hitter to reach base twice. He singled and drew a walk.
Michael Dunn didn’t even make it through the first inning. He got two batters out and he gave up six runs on five hits and two walks.
Michael Dunn improved to 8-2 on the season with a nice start in the RiverDogs 5-2 loss to the Sand Gnats. He gave up just two runs on three hits and four walks with seven strikeouts in six innings.
Seth Fortenberry led the RiverDogs at the plate in the win. He went two for four with a double, a run and an RBI.
It didn’t come until his fourth at bat, but Mitchell Hilligoss extended his hitting streak to 38 games with a double. You have to feel for Christopher Malec as the Mitchell Hilligoss show overshadowed an excellent day at the plate. He went two for four with a grand slam and five RBIs.
Michael Dunn improved to 6-2 on the season with a nice start in the 5-2 win. He gave up two runs (one earned) on three hits and a walk with five strikeous in seven solid innings.
Seth Fortenberry had a big day at the plate in the RiverDogs 6-3 win over Rome. He went three for five with a double, a homerun, three RBIs and two runs. The homerun was his seventh of the season.
Michael Dunn improved to 5-2 on the season with the win. He gave up three runs on seven hits and one walk with five strikeouts in five innings.
The RiverDogs lost 4-2 to Columbus with the offense picking up just two runs on six hits. Mitchell Hilligoss singled twice and he scored two runs. Brian Baisley went two for three and he drove in a run.
Michael Dunn took the loss and he dropped to 4-2 on the season. He gave up three runs on eight hits and a walk with four strikeouts in five innings.
Michael Dunn threw 6 1/3 shutout innings in the RiverDogs 5-2 win over Rome. He gave up four hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
Andres Perez was the only RiverDog with two hits. He both scored and drove in a run. Seth Fortenberry also helped out the cause with a two run homer.
Michael Dunn had a very nice start for the RiverDogs in their 6-1 win over the Sand Gnats. He gave up a run on four hits and two walks with six strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings, and the win improved his record to a perfect 3-0.
Christopher Malec provided most of the offense in the win. He went three for four with two homeruns, three RBI and two runs.
Michael Dunn gave up just four hits and a walk with four strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings. The win pushed him to 2-0 and he’s now given up just three earned runs in three starts with 18 strikeouts in 15 innings. The left hander has been particularly effective against left handers, who haven’t gotten a hit or a walk off of him but the sample size is small (eight at bats).
Wilmer Pino scored the lone run of the game for either side. He finished two for five in the 1-0 win.
The RiverDogs used five pitchers in this game and four of them gave up runs. Michael Dunn didn’t even finish the third in his start and he gave up three runs. Nicholas Petersen gave up the most runs with four runs to his credit in just 2/3 of an inning.
Eduardo Nunez singled and drove in two runs. Josue Calzado went two for four with a double and an RBI.
Michael Dunn got it done for the RiverDogs with six solid innings. He gave up just one run on four hits with no walks and he struck out eight.
Christopher Malec led the way at the plate. The switch hitting first baseman went three for four with two runs.
