Eric Hacker Throws Seven Shutout Innings In Tampa Win

by @ 6:04 pm. Filed under Eric Hacker, Josue Calzado, Seth Fortenberry, Tampa Yankees - April 2008, Mark Melancon

Eric Hacker did his best in the Yankees 1-0 win over Sarasota.  He gave up just two hits and a walk with four strikeouts in seven shutout innings.  Unfortunately, because the Yanks didn’t score until the eighth inning, he didn’t get the win.  That went to Mark Melancon, who gave up one hit in two shutout innings.

Josue Calzado drove in the lone run of the game for either side.  Seth Fortenberry went three for three and he scored the lone run.
