The Yankees picked up their fifth straight win as they took care of the Red Sox 9-3. Mike Kinkade went three for five with a triple and three runs. Kevin Thompson went two for five with a double, a walk, two RBIs and a run.
Kei Igawa improved to 5-4 on the season. He gave up three runs on five hits and two walks with nine strikeouts in seven innings.

SWB lost to the Knights 4-3 and a decent start by Steven White went to waste. He gave up two runs on seven hits with two strikeouts in six innings. Ben Kozlowski took the loss when he gave up the deciding run in the ninth inning.

The Yankees’ offense couldn’t get it going in their 6-2 loss to Indianapolis. Kevin Thompson was the hitting star in the loss. He hit a solo homerun and he scored both runs for the Yankees.
Sean Henn took the loss and he dropped to 0-2. He gave up two runs on three hits and two walks with two strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings.
Chris Basak singled home Kevin Thompson in the bottom of the tenth inning to win it for the Yankees. Shelly Duncan was the hitting star. He went one for two with a double, two walks, an RBI and two runs.
Chase Wright was decent and he gave up three runs in 5 1/3 innings. He gave up seven hits and a walk with four strikeouts. Jim Brower was very impressive and he picked up the win. He struck out five of the six batters he faced in the final two innings to pick up the win.
Just about everyone was a hitting star in the Yankees 13 run, 20 hit attack today. Raul Chavez homered twice, drove in three and scored three times while Kevin Thomspon had four hits and he came a homerun short of hitting for the cycle. He drove in one and and scored three times.
Colter Bean picked up the win with 5 1/3 solid innings of relief. He gave up two runs on three hits and he struck out six in the 13-4 win.
The Yankees came back from a 5-0 deficit to beat Norfolk 6-5. Kevin Thompson went three for five with a double and he drove in two runs. Andy Phillips went two for five with two runs and an RBI.
Eric Junge was hit hard in his start but he held on long enough to pick up his first win of the season. He gave up five runs on five hits and two walks with a strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
Four hits isn’t going to cut it and while the score looked close at 5-2, the Yankees didn’t score their two runs until the bottom of the ninth inning Kevin Thompson’s two run homer.
Steven Jackson took the loss and he dropped to 3-3 on the season. He gave up three runs (just one earned) on three hits and five walks with three strikeouts in five innings.
