All of the scoring in this game came in the first three frames as the RiverDogs edged Greensboro 3-2. Seth Fortenberry led the way for the RiverDogs at the plate and he went two for four and he scored two runs.
Jesse Hoover picked up the win in this one and he improved to 3-2. He gave up one hit and two walks with two strikeouts in two innings of work.
Mitchell Hilligoss led the way at the plate for the RiverDogs in their 5-1 win over Greenville. He went three for four with a double and two runs. Seth Fortenberry helped out the cause with a two run homer in the fourth inning.
Jesse Hoover picked up the win with two shutout innings of relief. He took over after a rain delay and the win pushed his record to 2-2 on the season.
Ivan Nova did his job as he threw five shutout innings to keep the RiverDogs in their game against Asheville. Unfortunately, the pen was tagged for four runs and the hitters could put only one run on the board in a 4-1 loss. Jesse Hoover took the loss and he fell to 1-2 and he gave up two runs in 1 2/3 innings of work.
Kyle Anson was the hitting star in the loss. He went three for four.
Eric Hacker may not have picked up the win in this one, but he definitely kept the RiverDogs in the game in their 3-1 win over the Catfish. He gave up just a single run on three hits and walk with six strikeouts in seven innings. Jesse Hoover picked up the win with two shutout innings to close the game out.
Eduardo Nunez led the way at the plate with three hits (two singles, one double) and two RBIs. Mitchell Hilligoss had a great game as well. He went two for four with a triple, an RBI and two runs.
