It took them thirteen innings, but the Thunder piled on the runs in an 8-3 win over the B-Mets. Austin Jackson had a nice day at the plate and he went three for seven with a double, two RBIs and a run. Colin Curtis had just one hit in five at bats, but he walked twice, drove in a run and scored twice.
Jason Jones kept the Thunder in the game with a solid seven inning start. He gave up two runs on six hits with a walk and one strikeout. Eric Wordekemper improved to 1-1 with two shutout innings of relief.
The Thunder took care of New Britain 7-4 and while Jason Jones gave up three first inning runs, he recovered to throw a decent enough game to improve to 3-0. He gave up the three runs on nine hits and three walks with four strikeouts in six innings. Eric Wordekemper threw a shutout ninth and he picked up his first save of the season.
Cody Ehlers had a team high three hits with a double, a run and an RBI. Matt Carson singled, doubled, drove in two and scored a run in the win.
Jason Jones gave up a single run in the bottom of the eleventh inning at Trenton lost to New Hampshire 6-5. Steven Jackson was particularly good as he threw four shutout innings of relief and he struck out five.

Trenton and Portland played two and each team took a game. Trenton won the first one 7-3 and Juan Miranda was one of the hitting stars. He belted a homerun and he finished with four RBIs in the win. Reegie Corona went two for four with two doubles, an RBI and two runs. Jeffrey Marquez improved to 14-9. He gave up three unearned runs on six hits and a walk with one strikeout.
Game two didn’t go nearly as well as Trenton lost it 9-0. Jason Jones gave up five of those runs and he fell to 8-10. In the meantime, the offense was held to just one single in a one hit shutout.

Jason Jones then threw five shutout innings and the Thunder took a 5-0 lead into the ninth when Tim Lavigne gave up five runs to put the Fisher Cats back into the game. Then in the tenth, Michael Gardner gave up the losing run in the 6-5 loss.

The Thunder picked up two wins yesterday. The first game was a 2-1 win in a game that was suspended Saturday night. Alan Horne had a nice start and he struck out eight in six innings while giving up just one unearned run. In the full game yesterday, the Thunder won it 5-1 behind a nice outing by Jason Jones. He threw seven shutout innings and he struck out eight to pick up his third win of the season. Carson continued his hot hitting and he went four for four with two doubles and a solo homerun.
The Thunder beat up on Harrisburg 8-2 and Jason Jones got it done on the mound. He gave up a single run on six hits and a walk with three strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings and the win improved his record to 2-0.
Shawn Garrett had a nice day at the plate. He went two for five with a double, a homerun, two RBIs and a run. Aarom Baldiris went two for four with a homerun and two runs scored.
The Thunder improved to 11-2 with a 7-4 win over Binghamton. Matt Carson had a solid day at the plate and he went two for four with two RBIs and a run. Justin Christian went two for four with a solo homerun and two runs.
