The pitching wasn’t quite there but the Yankees made up for it at the plate as they took care of Clearwater 9-6. Daniel Brewer led the way and he went three for five with a double, four RBIs and a run. Jack Rye also had a nice game and he singled four times and scored three runs.
Ryan Zink picked up the win and he improved to 8-10. He gave up three runs on five hits and one walk with two strikeouts in six innings. Jonathan Hovis struck out the final batter of the game and he picked up his 21st save of the season.
The offense wasn’t anything special but Tampa got just enough in a 4-3 win over Clearwater. Jack Rye went two for four with a solo home run and a walk. Austin Romine went two for four with a solo shot.
Ryan Zink improved to 4-6 on the season with a decent enough start. He gave up three runs on seven hits and three walks in six innings of work.
Tampa fell to Charlotte 8-2 and it was Jeremy Bleich who gave up the bulk of the runs to the opposition. He gave up six runs (five earned) on seven hits and three walks with five strikeouts in five innings and the loss dropped his record to 3-4.
Damon Sublett doubled and drew a walk. Jack Rye tripled and scored a run in the win.
