Jeffrey Marquez Has Rough Start In SWB Loss

Jeffrey Marquez fell to 1-2 with a tough start as the Yankees lost to Charlotte 10-2.  He gave up five runs on eight hits and two walks with six strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.  Scott Strickland also had a tough time and he gave up five runs in 1 1/3 innings of relief.

Gregory Porter was the hitting star in the loss.  He gave went three for four with a double and an RBI.

SWB Held to Two Hits In Shutout Loss to Bulls

SWB lost an ugly 2-0 game in which the hitters picked up just a pair of hits.  Gregory Porter doubled and drew a walk while Chad Moeller singled and drew a walk.

Kei Igawa had a solid start but he fell to 1-2.  He gave up two runs on five hits with three walks and four strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.
