Michael Dunn took the loss today as Tampa lost to Dunedin 8-4. He gave up three runs on six hits and three walks with six strikeouts in four innings. Grant Duff also had a tough time and he gave up four runs in 2 1/3 innings.
Damon Sublett doubled and drove in two runs in the loss. Edwar Gonzalez doubled twice, drove in a run and scored.
Tampa ran into a major league pitcher on a rehab start and the end result was a two shutout. Eduardo Nunez picked up both hits and one of them was a triple.
Grant Duff gave up the only run of the game and he took the loss. Ryan Pope threw four shutout innings but that nice start went to waste.
The RiverDogs and Rome each took a game as they wrapped up a doubleheader. Game one saw Charleston take care of Rome 6-4 behind the bat of Seth Fortenberry. The centerfielder went two for three with two doubles, three RBIs and a run. Grant Duff improved to 14-8 and he gave up two runs in his five inning start.
Game two didn’t go as well as Bryan Villalona was tagged for four runs in the second inning. He fell to 0-2 on the season and Josue Calzado led the way at the plate. He doubled and drove in two runs.
Grant Duff improved to 12-8 with a nice start in the RiverDogs 7-3 win over West Virginia. He gave up two hits and a walk with five strikeouts in five shutout innings.
Seth Fortenberry led the way at the plate. He went three for five with a double, two RBIs and a run. Mitchell Hilligoss went two for five with a double, two RBIs and a run.
Grant Duff fell to 11-8 on the season with a tough start in the RiverDogs 11-8 loss to Lexington. He gave up four runs on six hits and five walks with four strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.

Grant Duff fell to 11-7 on the season with a rough start in the RiverDogs 8-6 loss to Greenville. He gave up eight runs on seven hits and five walks in 2 1/3 innings.
Joseph Muich was the hitting star in the loss. He went two for four with a double, two RBIs and two runs.

Brady Martinez improved to 2-2 on the season. He gave up just one hit and a walk with three strikeouts in 2 1/3 shutout innings. Grant Duff walked seven batters in 4 2/3 innings but he gave up just one run.
The RiverDogs could push just one baserunner across the plate in their 3-1 loss to the Catfish. Josue Calzado went two for four with an RBI while Seth Fortenberry went two for four with a double.

Seth Fortenberry scored a run and drove in two without getting a hit. Christopher Kunda went one for two with two walks and two runs.
Grant Duff improved to 8-5 on the season with a nice start in the RiverDogs 2-0 win over Augusta. He gave up six hits and three walks with three strikeouts in five shutout innings.
Mitchell Hilligoss brought the big stick with him in this game. He went two for four with a double and he drove in one of the two RiverDogs runs.
The RiverDogs blasted the Sand Gnats 12-2 and Brian Aragon led the way with the stick. He went three for five with a double, a homerun, five RBIs and two runs. Seth Fortenberry also had a nice game and he went three for six with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs. Mitchell Hilligoss extended his hitting streak to three games with a single in six at bats. Seriously, this is an amazing stretch for Hilligoss. I don’t have a complete game log, but he’s reached base in his last 40+ games.
Lost in all of the offense was a really nice start by Grant Duff. He gave up four hits and four walks with four strikeouts in six shutout innings and he improved to 7-4 on the season.

The RiverDogs couldn’t push a single baserunner across the plate in their 4-0 loss to Rome. Kevin Smith actually reached base three times in the shutout loss. He singled, doubled and drew a walk.

Seth Fortenberry drove in three runs but it wasn’t enough in the RiverDogs 6-5 loss to Asheville. Austin Jackson also had a nice game. He doubled twice and he scored two runs.
Grant Duff had a mediocre start but it was actually reliever David Robertson that took the loss. He gave up one unearned run in his two innings of work. it’s just that one run turned out to be the game winner.
Brian Aragon had a big day at the plate in the RiverDogs 7-4 win over the Catfish. He went four for four with two doubles, two RBIs and a run. Mitchell Hilligoss also had a nice game and he went two for five with two runs.

Christopher Malec had a solid game at the plate. He went two for four with a double and two runs. Brian Baisley also had a nice game and he went two for three with an RBI.

The RiverDogs got some pretty poor pitching by all three of their pitchers in their 9-3 loss to Asheville. Grant Duff took the loss and he gave up four runs on five hits with four strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.
Austin Jackson provided most of the offense. He went two for five and he drove in two runs.

Wilmer Pino doubled and drove in a run while Josue Calzado doubled and scored a run. They scored just enough for the win though.
