Kyle Anson went two for four with a double, two RBIs and a run to lead the way for the RiverDogs in their 5-3 win over Rome. Chase Odenreider belted a two run homer to pitch in with the win.
Ferdin Tejada improved to 2-2 with some solid relief pitching. He gave up two hits and he struck out two in two shutout innings.
The RiverDogs lost a pair of 2-1 games to the Catfish in their doubleheader. Ferdin Tejada gave up two runs in the seventh and final inning to take the loss and James Cooper was the only hitter with two hits.
Game two was the exact same thing. Kevin Smith went two for three while Stephen Artz took the loss when he gave up a run in the seventh.
The RiverDogs didn’t get too many chances as they were held to five hits in a 5-3 loss to Asheville. Josue Calzado had a hand in all three Charleston runs and he went two for four with a double, a homerun, two RBIs and two runs.
Ferdin Tejada took the loss and he fell to 1-1 on the season. He gave up two runs on three hits in just two innings of work.
The RiverDogs picked up two runs in the top of the eighth inning and those two runs turned out to be the difference in their 6-4 win over Rome. Mitchell Hilligoss went three for five and he drove in a run while Christopher Kunda doubled and he drove in three runs.
Ferdin Tejada threw two shutout innings and he picked up the win. He gave up two hits and he struck out three.
