Eric Hacker did his best in the Yankees 1-0 win over Sarasota. He gave up just two hits and a walk with four strikeouts in seven shutout innings. Unfortunately, because the Yanks didn’t score until the eighth inning, he didn’t get the win. That went to Mark Melancon, who gave up one hit in two shutout innings.
Josue Calzado drove in the lone run of the game for either side. Seth Fortenberry went three for three and he scored the lone run.
The offense never really got it going in this one in the 4-1 loss to Lakeland. All four hits were singles and the lone run didn’t come until the bottom of the ninth inning.
Eric Hacker threw five shutout innings to start the game but he gave up three in the sixth and that was more then enough for the loss. He gave up the three runs on seven hits with six strikeouts.
SWB finished their season off with an 8-5 win as they looked on towards the Governors Cup. Eric Duncan went two for four with a homerun and three RBIs while Bronson Sardinha went two for five with a double, three RBIs and two runs. Brett Gardner had a team high four hits and he scored once and drove in one.
Eric Hacker picked up with the win and he improved to 1-0. He gave up two runs on five hits and one walk with three strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings.
Eric Hacker improved to 9-2 on the season with another nice start in the RiverDogs 9-2 win over the Catfish. He gave up one run on just one hit and a walk with two strikeouts in five innings of work.
Kyle Anson singled and drove in two runs. James Cooper singled, drew a walk, drove in a run and scored twice.
The RiverDogs made up their rain out game from the night before and lost both ends of a doubleheader to Hickory. The first game was a 5-2 loss and Ivan Nova took the loss with a rough start. He gave up five runs on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts in four innings of work and the loss dropped him to 5-5 on the season. Kevin Smith belted a solo homerun for half of the RiverDogs runs.
The second game was closer but it was still a loss. Jonathan Hovis took the loss when he gave up a run in the eighth inning. Eric Hacker gave up three runs in five innings in his start and Kyle Anson and Timothy O’Brien both hit solo shots in the 4-3 loss.
Luke Trubee gave up a run in the bottom of the ninth as the RiverDogs lost to Asheville 6-5. This was after a rough start by Eric Hacker, who gave up three runs on nine hits and four walks with a strikeout in five innings.
Seth Fortenberry was the hitting star in the loss. He went three for four with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs.
The RiverDogs took it to the Sand Gnats and blew them out 12-4. Mitchell Hilligoss led the way with a grand slam and he finished the game with two runs. Kevin Smith went three for four with a double, a triple, a walk and two runs.
Eric Hacker picked up the win and he improved to 6-2 on the season. He gave up one run on nine hits and one walk with two strikeouts in six innings of work.
Eric Hacker may not have picked up the win in this one, but he definitely kept the RiverDogs in the game in their 3-1 win over the Catfish. He gave up just a single run on three hits and walk with six strikeouts in seven innings. Jesse Hoover picked up the win with two shutout innings to close the game out.
Eduardo Nunez led the way at the plate with three hits (two singles, one double) and two RBIs. Mitchell Hilligoss had a great game as well. He went two for four with a triple, an RBI and two runs.
Eric Hacker improved to 4-2 on the season in the RiverDogs 7-5 win over the Sand Gnats. He gave up two runs on seven hits and a walk with five strikeouts in six innings.
Seth Fortenberry had a nice day at the plate in the win. He went two for three with a solo homerun, a walk and three runs scored.
Erik Hacker fell to 3-2 on the season with a rough start in the RiverDogs 6-2 loss to Augusta. He gave up five runs (three earned) on six hits and a walk with four strikeouts in five innings.
Eduardo Nunez had a nice day at the plate in the loss. He went two for four with a double, an RBI and a run.
Eric Hacker improved to 2-3 on the season with a nice start in Tampa’s 3-2 win over Brevard County. He gave up two runs on five hits with three strikeouts in six solid innings.
Juan Miranda went two for four with a double and an RBI. Jared Greenwood hit a solo homerun.
Tamps lost to Lakeland 9-2 in a game where the hitters were definitely held in check. Kevin Russo tripled home both of the Yankees runs and Colin Curtis was the only Tampa hitter with two hits.
Eric Hacker was hit hard and he dropped to 1-3 with a rough start. He gave up five runs on eight hits and two walks in just 1 1/3 innings.
Four hits usually won’t cut it and it’s especially disappointing when you can’t even score a run. And that’s what happened in the Yankees 8-0 loss to Dunedin. There were no extra base hits and the only hitter to reach base twice was Francisco Cervelli, who walked and singled.

The Yankees got plenty of offense in their 9-2 win over Sarasota. Tim Battle drove in three runs and scored twice, Reegie Corona scored three times and drove in two and Colin Curtis was a perfect four for four with a run and an RBI.
Eric Hacker gave up two runs in six innings and he picked up the win. Anthony Claggett threw three shutout innings and he picked up his second save of the season.

The RiverDogs were outmatched in a high scoring 12-8 loss to Augusta. Brian Baisley and Seth Fortenberry both had big days at the plate in the loss. Baisley went four for five with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs while Fortenberry went four for five with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs.

Mitchell Hilligoss had a nice game at the plate. He went three for five with a double, a run and three RBIs in the 6-2 win.
The RiverDogs got it all. They got some very good hitting and they also received some exception pitching. Austin Jackson had a big game at the plate. He went two for four with a homerun, a double, three RBIs and two runs. Wilmer Pino hit a two run shot while Jose Gil singled, drew a walk and scored twice.
On the mound, Eric Hacker had a solid start. He threw six shutout innings and gave up just three hits with five strikeouts.
