Elvys Quezada improved to 4-4 on the season with a nice start in Tampa’s 8-4 win over Clearwater. He gave up two runs on six hits and one walk with four strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.
Jared Greenwood had just one single but he drove in three runs and scored. Edwar Gonzalez went two for three with a walk, two runs and an RBI.
Elvys Quezada dropped to 3-4 on the season with a rough start in Tampa’s 4-3 loss to Dunedin. He gave up the four runs on six hits and four walks with three strikeouts in four innings of work.
Christopher Malec went two for five with a double and an RBI. Edwar Gonzalez belted a solo homer and he drew a walk in the loss.
Elvys Quezada fell to 3-3 on the season in a rough start in Tampa’s 11-6 loss to Brevard County. He was knocked around for six runs on seven hits and three walks with four strikeouts in just 2 2/3 innings.
Austin Jackson went two for five with a homerun and two RBIs. Kevin Russo went two for four with a triple, an RBI and a run.
Tampa and Clearwater made up their rain out from the day before and it was Tampa that came out on top in both games. Marcos Vechionacci belted a grand slam in the 7-4 win to account for most of the Yankees offense while Elvys Quezada picked up the win with a nice start. He improved to 3-2 and he gave up three runs (just one earned) on four hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in five innings.
In the second game, Joshua Schmidt improved to 5-0 despite giving up the tying run in the sixth inning. To his credit, both runs he gave up were unearned. Austin Jackson went one for two with a run in the 3-2 win.
Tampa couldn’t get anything done at the plate as they racked up a mere three singles and two walks. No Tampa hitter reached base more then once as they were shutout in the seven inning rain shortened game.
Elvys Quezada dropped to 2-2 on the season. He gave up just one unearned on four hits with two strikeouts in three innings.
Tampa came back from a four run deficit to tie it only to lose the game in the fourteenth inning. Elvys Quezada gave up five early runs and then Zachary Kroenke gave up the go ahead run in the fourteenth.
Luis Nunez had a nice day at the plate. He went three for six with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs in the 6-5 loss.
A solid start by Elvys Quezada was wasted in Tampa’s 5-4 loss to Dunedin. Quezada gave up a single unearned run on three hits and a walk with four strikeouts in six innings but two different relievers gave up two runs a piece to lose it last in the game.
Colin Curtis was the hitting star. He gave went two for three with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs.
Tampa picked up just one run in their 5-1 loss to Clearwater and it came via the long ball. James Cooper hit a solo homerun for that lone run and Tim Battle was the only Yankee with two hits.
Elvys Quezada took his first loss of the season. He gave up three runs on four hits and a walk with five strikeouts.
This game was ugly and just about everyone was a hitting star. Six different players had at least two RBIs and seven players had at least two hits.
Elvys Quezada improved to 2-0 with all of the run support although he did throw a nice game. He gave up just one run on four hits with five strikeouts in five innings of work.
The Tampa Yankees put up ten runs on fiften hits in a 10-4 blowout win over the Lakeland Flying Tigers. Kevin Russo led the way with three hits, three runs and an RBI while Juan Miranda went two for four with two RBIs and a run.
Elvys Quezada picked up the win in relief of starter Phil Coke who was hit hard. Quezada game up a single run on just two hits with two strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings.
