The Yankees didn’t much going at the plate and they were held to one run on seven hits in a loss to the Sarasota Reds. Damon Sublett picked up two of those hits with a pair of singles and he also drew a walk and drove in the lone run for Tampa.
D.J. Mitchell took the loss and they fell to 1-2. He gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits and a walk with two strikeouts in five innings.
