Staten Island Comes From Behind to Beat Brooklyn

Staten Island scored a run in the eighth and a run in the ninth to come back and beat Brooklyn 5-4.  The game winner was an RBI single by Jose Gil with two outs while Christopher Raber belted a solo homer in the bottom of the eighth to tie it.  Raber finished the gave with two hits, two walks and he scored three times.

Darrell Rasner gave up two runs in four innings in his start.  Jonathan Ortiz gave up five baserunners in 1 2/3 innings but none of them crossed the plate and he picked up his fourth win of the season.

Staten Island Runs Up the Score On Aberdeen

Staten Island put fourteen runs on the board in a 14-4 win over Aberdeen.  Christopher Raber led the way with four hits and six RBIs.

Zachary McAllister picked up the win and he improved to 4-4.  He gave up three runs on nine hits with five strikeouts in five innings.

Ryan Pope Throws Six Shutout Innings In Staten Island Win

Ryan Pope had an excellent start in the Yankees 2-1 win over Lowell.  He gave up just three hits and he struck out eight in six shutout frames.

Justin Snyder drove in both Yankee runs with a single and a double.  Christopher Raber singled and scored a run.

Staten Island Edges Lowell In Eleven Innings

Ryan Wehrle drew a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth inning to tie Staten Island up with Lowell and then in the bottom of the eleventh, Justin Snyder singled home Donald Hollingsworth for the game winner.  Snyder finished the game three for five and he drove in two runs while Christopher Raber went three for four with a double and a walk.

Jonathan Ortiz improved to 2-0 with the win.  He gave up a hit and he struck out one in two shutout innings of relief in extra frames.
