The RiverDogs played a couple of extra innings in their final game of the season as they beat Rome 6-5 in eleven innings. Kevin Smith went two for five with a triple, three RBIs and a run. Chase Odenreider tripled twice, drove in two runs and scored.
Jonathan Hovis improved to 4-5 with a shutout inning of relief. All three other pitchers gave up at least a run.
Kyle Anson went two for four with a double, two RBIs and a run to lead the way for the RiverDogs in their 5-3 win over Rome. Chase Odenreider belted a two run homer to pitch in with the win.
Ferdin Tejada improved to 2-2 with some solid relief pitching. He gave up two hits and he struck out two in two shutout innings.
The RiverDogs took care of the Sand Gnats in both of the games of their doubleheader. In the first game, Michael Dunn had a nice start and he improved to 11-3 on the season in the 2-1 win. He gave up one run on three hits and four walks with four strikeouts in six innings. Mitchell Hilligoss tripled and he scored one of the two runs.
In the second game, Luke Trubee improved to 3-0 on the season with a 1 2/3 innings of shutout relief. Chase Odenreider hit a solo homerun and he scored three runs in the 6-1 win.
Damon Sublett had a great day at the plate in Staten Island’s 8-5 win over Hudson Valley. He went two for three with a double, two walks, a homerun, two RBIs and two runs. Chase Odenreider belted a two run homer in the win.
Ryan Zink had a great start and he improved to 1-0 on the season. He gave up one hit and two walks with one strikeout in five innings of work.
