Staten Island Loses to Oneonta In Eleven Innings

by @ 11:48 pm. Filed under Jose Gil, Braedyn Pruitt, Jeffrey Livek, Staten Island Yankees - August 2007

Jeffrey Livek gave up two runs in the top of the eleventh inning and he fell to 1-2 as the Yankees lost to the Tigers 4-2.  It was disappointing because up until that inning, three Yankee pitchers combined to hold Oneonta to just two runs in ten innings.

Jose Gil belted a solo homer to account for one of the Yankees runs.  Braedyn Pruitt continued his hot hitting and he went two for three with a walk.  That raised his season batting average to .468 in the nineteen games he’s played.  Not too bad for a guy the Yankees got in the fourteenth round of this year’s draft.
