The Thunder lost one then won one as they took on Bowie in a doubleheader yesterday. Game one saw the Thuder’s bats fall flat and they picked up just five hits in the 7-2 loss. Edwar Gonzalez led the way and he went two for three with a solo home run. Ryan Pope gave up seven runs (three earned) in six innings and he fell to 2-4 on the season.
Game two was closer but it was a 5-4 win. James Cooper went two for three with a run and two RBIs. Amaury Sanit improved to 1-1 because he was the last pitcher and he got the win despite allowing a tying run in the top of the ninth to score on his watch.
