RiverDogs Double Up Sand Gnats 6-3

Jesus Montero led the way for the RiverDogs in their 6-3 win over the Sand Gnats.  He went three for five with a solo homer and two runs.  Carmen Angelini also had a nice game with two singled, one run and one RBI.

Adam Olbrychowski threw five solid innings in his no decision.  He gave up two runs on six hits and two walks with three strikeouts in five innings.  Chase Vacek threw two shutout innings and he improved to 2-0 while Jonathan Ortiz threw a shutout ninth to pick up his sixth win of the season.

Adam Olbrychowski Has Rough Start In RiverDogs Loss

The RiverDogs lost to the Sand Gnats 6-4 and it was Adam Olbrychowski who had a tough time in the mound. He fell to 0-2 and he gave up five runs (four earned) on five hits and three walks with two strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.

Justin Snyder had a nice day at the plate.  He went two for five with two RBIs.  Abraham Almonte went two for five with a double and two runs.

RiverDogs Hitters Held In Check In Loss to Rome

The RiverDogs picked up just a single run in their 4-1 loss to Rome.  Justin Snyder and Brad Suttle combined for five of the RiverDogs seven hits but oddly, neither drove in or scored that lone run.

Adam Olbrychowski took the loss although his start was hardly poor.  He gave up two runs (one earned) on five hits and a walk with two strikeouts in five innings.

Staten Island Crushes Tri-City 13-2

Staten Island scored five runs in the seventh and four in the eighth to push them to a blowout win over Tri-City.  Jose Gil belted a homer and drove in five runs while Austin Krum went three for four with a double, three RBIs and two runs.

Adam Olbrychowski improved to 3-5 with the win. He gave up two runs on four hits and three walks with five strikeouts in five innings.

Adam Olbrychowski Has Solid Start In Staten Island Win

Adam Olbrychowski improved to 2-5 on the season in the Yankees 8-3 win over Hudson Valley.  He gave up two runs on four hits and three walks with two strikeouts in six solid frames.

Jose Gil doubled twice, drove in two runs and scored once.  Taylor Holiday went three for four with a walk and two runs.

Adam Olbrychowski Is Hit Hard in Staten Island Loss

Adam Olbrychowski fell to 1-5 on the season in a tough start in the Yankees 6-3 loss to Lowell.  He gave up six runs (four earned) on six hits and a walk with four strikeouts in four innings.

Damon Sublett was the hitting star in the loss.  He went three for four with a run.

Staten Island Is Doubled Up By Williamsport

Adam Olbrychwski fell to 0-4 on the season with a rough start in Staten Island’s 6-3 loss against Williamsport.  He gave up five runs on four hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings.

Damon Sublet went one for two with two RBIs.  Taylor Holiday went one for one with two walks and a run.

Lowell Blows Out Staten Island 7-2

Three different pitchers gave up at least two runs a piece as Staten Island lost to Lowell 7-2.  Starter Adam Olbrychowski took the loss despite the fact he probably had the best outing of the three pitchers.  He gave up two runs on five hits and a walk with six strikeouts in five innings.

Damon Sublett went two for four with a solo homerun.  David Williams went two for four with a double and an RBI.

Staten Island Loses Despite Pitchers Giving Up Just Two Hits

Staten Island outhit Oneonta 5-2 but three errors cost them as they lost to the Tigers 3-1.  All three runs scored against them were unearned and it was Adam Olbrychowski who gave up all three.  He fell to 0-2 and he gave up two hits and four walks with six strikeouts in four innings of work.

Donald Hollingsworth was the hitting star in the loss.  He went two for three and he stole a base.

Four Errors Cost Staten Island In Blowout Loss to Auburn

While the five unearned runs may have just made a blowout closer, it was disconcerting none the less.  Adam Olbrychowski took the loss and he fell to 0-1 on the season.  He gave up three runs on five hits and two walks with six strikeouts in six innings of work.

Justin Snyder was the hitting star in the 11-3 loss.  He went two for five with a solo homerun and two runs scored.
